Are you a campervan enthusiast? Or have you ever considered campervan hire? Campervan holidays are lots of fun and give you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Most people hire campervans during the summer months, but with a bit of planning a campervan can be used year-round. This article will look at how to make a campervan work for all seasons.

Spring

Are you ready to dust yourself off after winter? Spring is a time of new beginnings; the weather starts getting better, and flowers begin to bloom. The weather may still be a bit chilly, so pack warm clothes as well as waterproofs for those April showers. You made need to do a bit of extra planning, search for places on your route that provide indoor fun or entertainment for if the weather is terrible.

Summer

Campervan life is easy in the summer. Hopefully, the weather will be great, and you’ll be able to spend as much time outside as possible. Plan to drive a coastal route which will give you plenty of opportunities to explore the beaches, go swimming or try water sports. Don’t forget to pack your sun cream, swimming gear, and sunglasses. Make sure you plan your route carefully and book ahead. This is especially true if you are staying at campsites as they get full quickly during the summer months. Summer is also a great time to try wild camping, look out for pre marked spots where you can pull over off the road.

Autumn

Autumn is a lovely time for a road trip. If exploring new places with crisp fallen leaves underfoot, appeals to you then pack warm clothing. Remember that Halloween is at the end of October, so be careful where you park if you don’t want ‘trick or treaters.’

Winter

Other people will probably think you’re crazy if you tell them you’re going to hire a campervan in winter. However, this is often far from the truth. Hiring a camper van will mean that you’ll have your own cosy little home where you can shelter from the rain if need be. Remember to pack warm clothing as well as waterproofs. Take board games and cards, to keep yourselves entertained, especially if you have kids. Look out for museums and Indoor attractions along the way where you can stop if the weathers bad. It’s also advisable to get outdoors as much as possible when the weathers good; it may not last all day. Winter is a cheaper time of year; you’ll often be able to find great campervan deals.
